I feel like running something up the flagpole today, and I would if there were something than expressed the depth and breadth of what I feel. Something white, and brown, and black, and yellow, with stars and roses and a line of children smiling all around the margins. (Erg. Not a design major, but you get the picture!) All I can say is it's about freaking time. The dems have tried to repress, suppress, misrepresent and demonize Democratic Socialism, which is ironically the only system with a record of success and popular satisfaction across the board, worldwide. *See Scandinavia for the stats.* And not only that, but Zohran is a beacon of the future of genuine and generous cultural and religious diversity, which is well underway, no matter how many Stephen Millers and other retrograde actors spring up in its path. They will go down in defeat, hopefully sooner than later!

Another excellent take. It's exciting to be excited about someone who could be our next mayor. I've voted in them all since I moved back in 1995- I honestly can't remember feeling this way about a mayoral race.

OMG this "Unfortunately, the DNC may see Mamdani’s win and think, “Ah yes, the secret was TikTok.” So now they’re workshopping a crypto-friendly, AI-generated meme about the “Opportunity Economy” set to a Lizzo song—sponsored by JPMorgan." Are you f'ing kidding me? The Dem power structure is comprised of idiots! We the people will forge the right path, I wish they would get the heck out of the way.

Outstanding analysis and commentary! It should be shared widely around the U.S. because it is highly relevant, and an excellent guide, for efforts to win elections as candidates on the Left.

This is awesome, a breath of fresh air, and inspiring to those of us who don't want to be muzzled by the milquetoast approach of centrists who are afraid to offend. There's a great quote by Julius Lester that applies here: "If a man tells you what he is for, you know what he is against. But let him tell you what he is against, and you still don't know what he is for.

It is exciting and relieving to see the clarity and power running through generations younger than mine (none of your beeswax). The DNC suffers from hanging on to past successes, but also from its addiction to winning over having something to say. In that regard they have been conjoined with the RNC for too long. Eventually every system winds down. I have been waiting to see how long it would take liberal-minded politicians to realize that they cannot continue without shedding a lot of old ways. They have my sympathy. I want them to earn my support.
